Dr Sanchez is originally from Corvallis, Oregon and her extended family is from Spain and Upstate New York. She attended Vassar College and got a degree in Biology, after which she attended Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2007. She has been with Banfield ever since graduating from vet school because Banfield was the first pet hospital to find a way to give pets all the wellness care they really need, even for families on a budget. She is married and has three fur babies: Frankie, the pit-bull mix, and Danny and Felix, her two "older feline gentlemen." She enjoys surgery, dentistry and managing diabetes in cats. In her spare time she travels and educates school-age children on the importance of empathy for animals as well as careers in veterinary medicine. She has also hosted several Banfield missions to underserved areas of Puerto Rico and Louisiana, conducting free preventive care clinics for hundreds of pets and families afflicted by hurricanes, flooding and poverty.
