Dr. Dear earned a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of Alabama prior to attending Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, he moved to Mobile, where he practiced before moving to Daphne in late 2020. He then joined Banfield in 2021. His professional interests include cardiology, radiology, and surgery. He enjoys going fishing, hiking, and kayaking. He likes to watch football and golf.
