Courtney McDonald, DVM

Dr. Courtney McDonald joined Banfield Pet Hospital in June 2009, and in 2010 she moved from an associate doctor to a market level Medical Director. At this level, Dr. McDonald provided support for 16 hospital teams. She rejoined her current hospital as chief of staff in November 2012. In late 2019, Dr. McDonald transitioned to an area chief of staff. In this capacity, she supports the doctor and team development at several local Colorado Springs hospitals and continues to see patients, but in a limited capacity. Maintaining patient care and building relationships with clients is what makes her the happiest. Dr. McDonald is a 2004 graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also has a bachelor of science in animal and dairy science from Mississippi State University. Dr. McDonald enjoys spending her spare time with her husband, six dogs, and two cats. She appreciates all that Colorado has to offer and enjoys hiking and fishing in her time away from veterinary medicine. Her most recent project is transforming 40 acres into a hobby ranch.
