Samantha Thompson, DVM

Dr. Samantha Thompson is a South Carolina native originally from Bluffton and always knew she would make her way back to the Lowcountry. Her love for animals started at a very young age, growing up in a household where dogs and cats were considered family members. The human/animal bond is a big reason she is a Veterinarian today. She attended the University of South Carolina and graduated in 2012 with her Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences. She then decided to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine which is conveniently located on the beautiful island of St Kitts. She attended Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine for her clinical year before officially graduating from Veterinary School in 2018. She has been with Banfield since graduation and hopes to continue to be able to offer the best Veterinary care to your beloved pets. Dr. Thompson has her own dog tribe, consisting of Bo, her 9 year old Pit Bull rescue and Obie, a 5 year old Lab/Rottweiler mix that she rescued while she was in vet school.
